Podhoretsky castle, Lviv region
The landmark of 17th century architecture is the famous Podhoretsky Castle, which boasts not only high cultural value, but also its otherworldly inhabitants.
The castle has a terrible history. Everyone who has spent the night here since the 18th century to this day has seen a real ghost at night. It was a woman in white. According to legend, the soul of Vaclav Zhevussky’s deceased young wife, Maria, wanders in the building. Because of jealousy, the man personally killed his 16-year-old beloved, and immured her body in the walls of the palace.
However, scientific confirmation of the existence of the paranormal in the walls and surroundings of the palace has only recently been obtained. A few years ago, during the restoration and restoration of the Podhoretsky Castle, a detailed photo session of all the objects of the historical complex was conducted. In some photographs taken at the entrance to the dungeon and in the inner chambers of the palace, a transparent silhouette of a man was recorded. Since that time, Pidgoretsky Castle has become a real laboratory for numerous researchers of anomalous phenomena.

According to the locals, there is a very strong energy center here. And yet, this place is a real haunted house. In two years, 13 cases have been recorded here when tourists got to know the owners. It is said that at the beginning of the twentieth century, an NKVD detachment got lost here and disappeared without a trace. Locals have repeatedly heard voices, gunshots, and seen shadows.
